Core Beliefs
The following are the core beliefs of New Life Fellowship based on the foundational truths taught in the bible. All of our teaching and ministry is rooted in and flows out of these biblical doctrines.
The Trinity
We believe in one God, maker of all things and being in Trinity of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Jesus Christ
We believe that the Son of God, Jesus Christ, became incarnate, was begotten by the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin, and is true God and true man.
The Bible
We believe the Bible, in its entirety, to be the inspired word of God and the only infallible rule of faith and conduct.
Eternity
We believe in the resurrection of the dead, the eternal life of the saved, and the eternal punishment of the lost.
Salvation
We believe in personal salvation of believers through the shed blood of Jesus Christ.
Water Baptism
We believe in water baptism by immersion for believers.
Baptism of the Holy Spirit
We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit as distinct from the new birth, and in the nine gifts of the Spirit (listed in1 Corinthians 12) as now available to believers.
Healing
We believe in divine healing through the power of God.
Hope in Jesus's Return
We believe in the Christian's hope - the imminent personal return of the Lord Jesus Christ.
God's Design for Our Life
We believe in sanctification, holiness of heart, and the overcoming life as God's design for every believer (1 John 3:3-10 and 2 Peter 1:3-8).
Marriage and Sexual Purity
We believe that marriage is a sacred institution established by God, whereby one man and one woman are joined in a monogamous, covenant commitment for a lifetime. We believe that sexual purity is a necessary expression for all God's children and requires abstinence from premarital sex (fornication), extramarital sex (adultery), incest, homosexuality, or other sexual practices forbidden by scripture (1 Corinthians 6:9-20,Hebrews 13:4,Leviticus 18).
Value of Human Life
We believe that since mankind is created in God's image, human life is of invaluable worth and significance in all its dimension, from conception to the grave (Genesis 1:27,Psalm 139:13-15).
